When I first started working at Mother New York, a creative advertising agency in New York City, I noticed the twitter account had been all but abandoned. I decided to confront the suits to find out if I could bring some life back into it. We sat down to try and nail some sort of strategy and decided that the main goal was to not self-promote.
From there, it kind of became structured entropy. Controlled randomness. Each week I would tweet on a different theme (sometimes related to holidays, world events, etc) such as #animation, #rap, or #dogs. It was great fun. I'm proud to say that in the year I managed the account, the follower count rose from 5K to 18K.
In my 2 1/2 years there, I also coordinated the experiential team and helped produce dozens of immersive events, focusing on interactive tech.
